During the winter there was a big disccusion about this I don't know how long they keep these forums on here but costing was one of the big things back then and on e guy said costing was not a bad thing. I worked on the red back in the 60's and 70's they did not seame to believe coating was bad. but here is the deal the Ta has about a 33% reduction when you go to TA so if that is true than if you coat in TA than there must be about a 33% uncrease in speed because gears don't lie so in 5th grear you could have a great increase in speed if things get out of hand. Now take that to the extream and let say you are in low gear and you let it coast now low has a very great reduction so if you let things get out of hand coasting in low gear that TA clutch might be turning 3000 3500 may 4000 RPM and if you shift the TA in or out you will plow it out of the housing. Why do I know this I have seen tractors after it has been done. Tractors are not for high speeds and do not coast in or out of TA
