Your right about the serial number -- I just went out and checked. The number is FAA738. I was told (by the guy at the counter at the local Case dealer) that the engine block number was the approximate date of the block -- so I added the "/" in the "7/38" -- assuming it ment July, 1938. It would be even cooler if the tractor was #738 of the Farmall A line. Is there any other way to confirm this? Thanks,
