hooked up wire ya mentioned but doesnt do anything. ran a volt meter on battery reads 12 and change when off. when running reads 13 and change. amp guage still shows -10. guy at work said i should run wire straight from neg battery post to f post on generator and see what happens. disconnect the volt reg. while doing this. m with 12 volt and distributor.pos. ground if ya forget
