If you're seeing 13+ volts across the battery with the motor running, is says the generator is working and is charging the battery. Assuming the ammeter's otherwise wired correctly, a -10 ammeter reading with 13 volts showing on the battery says the ammeter's wired up backward. Swap the wires at both terminals and it should read correctly. What does the ammeter read with a) motor and ignition switch off, and b) motor off and ignition on? DON'T run a wire from the regulator F terminal to the battery negative on your (positive ground) tractor! If you do it will destroy the regulator.
