I just bought a 1941 M (first tractor) and I need to know several things. 1. how do I find out what horse power the engine is. 2. I drove the tractor 30 miles home when I bought it, then tried to bush hog in first gear and the engine died as if starved for fuel. I can't find a fuel filter or in-line filter on the fuel line. what should I check next? (the bush hog turns freely, no binding) 3. There is no dipstick on the block. How or where do you check the oil in the engine.
