Anti-slip cleat on H rim

Just bought new rims for my old "H". The new rims don't have the cleat that fits into the notch on the wheel hub to prevent slippage under heavy traction conditions. Question is, do I need to have this cleat welded on the rims if I'm only going to be driving the tractor around for fun? Don't anticipate using it for plowing or pulling or whatever. If I DO need it, does anyone have any tips for me on what to use, dimensions, etc? It looks pretty simple, but I don't want to mess up my new rims due to ignorance.
