I put my newly rewired generator on my M yesterday and it starts it up really nice. It was switched to negative ground and 12 volts. The only problem is, i cannot tell whether or not it is charging correctly. i am hoping of course that it is but i think i may have messed up my ampmeter while trying to take the plate it is mounted to off. one of the screws was messed up so i had to saw it off and i got impatient and tried knocking it off with a chisel and hammer. i know now this was a bad idea when i saw the needle stuck in the full discharge position (its there when the tracotor is running or stopped). so what could i do to find out if the generartor is charging correctly without buying a new ampmeter (i am going to do that some day i just want to know something else that would work right now). i polarized the generator and i think everything should be hooked up correctly. thanks for the help! jeff
