---Before I came into ownership of the H model previously mentioned, it ran, well, up until the time my brother in-law started tinkering with it.

---From what the neighbors say, one day he had it running, it ran and then quit. I checked into the carb and found a small deposite of what looked like kitty litter...or sand. What I suspect it to have been was the filter stone from the sediment-type filter. The stone was gone (not removed, disolved), so I removed the entire carb and cleaned it up, mounted it and attempted to get the hood off. How does one get the rain-cap off the riser from the carb? I have tried unthreading it, pulling it off, but it sits as if it was not made to come off...lol.

---I am in the process of cleaning the motor, and though I would like the service manuals (inquired about in my previous posting) present when I remove the head, I guess I will resort to coming here and asking those of you who know, what the torque sequence is along with other specs.

-1) How does one get the rain cap off the riser from the carb?

-2) Is there a sequence to removing the head bolts?
