Super H , Bad Growl when in or out of Gear??

I looked at a nice Super H on Propane today, live hydraulics, runs great. Has growl in transmission(behind clutch assembly). When you push in the clutch, it stops. I really checked location, I.E. throw out bearing area, and the sound is definately coming from the trans area. Any ideas?? I would like to buy the tractor as it is fairly priced at $850.00. Thanks.
