I kinda suspected that the shaft came out that way..thanks! I have only removed one rod cap so far and the bearing looked ok...gonna buy one of those engine rebuild kits from here soon so I plan on replacing all the bearings while I'm in there anyway. Is it possible to replace the mains with the block still in the frame? I did not split the tractor as I was only gonna do the top end. Thanks for any tips..so far it hasn't been too bad but I'm going slow!
