I have a 300 utility with approximately 100hours after a rebuild. I purchased it this summer following the rebuild. It has been converted to a 12 volt system. It will crank up immediately when it has been on a battery charger. I can use it for awhile and then it seems to start to lose horsepower and begin to become extremely touchy at the throttle, or it will cut out. The alternator belt is tight, and there is not any excessive noise. My theory is that it is only getting a trickle charge and that toward the end it does not get enough spark. I have fresh gas, and have changed the sediment bowl. Do I take it in for a tune up already, or take the battery to have it checked, or call my snowplow guy to kiss and make up after I told him he wasn't needed ? Thanks
