The I&T manual shows head nuts are 65lbs, rod nuts 40-45 or 43-49 for cotter pin or self locking style, main bearings .0009-.0039 and rods .0009-.0034. If your motor has been opened up before, verify that the rod and main caps are in their proper places. They are machined as a pair and can't be interchanged. I've seen rod caps swapped that caused a spun bearing and seen main caps swapped leaving low oil pressure and a loose crank. If your valve clearances are all ok, one more thing you can check is lift on the cam lobes. I have never seen this problem on a farmall, but we're chasing an unknown. Since the valve cover is off just turn the motor slow with hand crank or maybe by the fan and verify each valve is moving appr the same amount. Last thing I can think of is to recheck compression with the oil in to isolate the rings. Let us know what you find, I learn something new with every one I work on. Stan(VA).
