farmall 450d

i found a 450 diesel near me. it has water in the oil and runs but not very well. has no fast hitch. excellent tinwork and tires. TA works in both ranges. he wants 1250, is that a fair price? what would i have to do to fix the water problem? what was the approx. horse power of the tractor? were they a good tractor? i was considering this or MD. the MD is 1800.the md is an hour away from me and the 450 is in ohio. i am in new york. also is anyone interested in a restord H? thank your for your help and time,
