That's something to ponder... I think it has to do with cost vs production. The stuff we go for now were costing more to repair along with down time. It was more cost effective at the time to get a new one... trade in or leave it sit if the dealer didn't want to cough up enough for the trade. My tractor was 35 years old and when I got it I had it's motor and clutch rebuilt. This was after a long time at hard use. I don't believe that I will wear it out in my lifetime. The same goes with cars and trucks. What do you guys think? sod
