F20 raditor cap

Yesterday I had a question concerning my raditor cap. I think I understand how it works, however, the rust is the problem, I have been soaking the top wing nut, however, the problem is below the cap. I can get it wo turn 1/2 turn and in the middle of the turn the cal gets a little loose. I have sprayed under the cap but do not know if I'm hitting the bolt. Which way shoud I turn the wing nut to loosen the bolt. I'm very concerned the boldt is going to break. Thanks DTR
