I admit reading your first post too fast. What oil consumption? If you drained out "to empty" 5 quarts, and put back 5 quarts, you started out 1 quart low. You haven't told me anything yet indicating oil consumption. Operate the tractor and keep close tabs on the oil level. Park the tractor in the same place each time you check. Later, if you suspect oil consumption, you can check the compression. If you are using oil, putting the tractor under load or operating at high throttle will accelerate the oil consumption.
