Jack: IH touch control fluid was replaced by IH hy-tran, now CaseIH Hy-tran. Other outlets will have an oil that meets these specs, just make sure they have their cross reference correct. You study that hydraulic system a bit Farmall 300 and Utility 300 have all the same components, just a different configuration. Same with clutch and TA if so equipped. I agree it would be much nicer if you had the Utility manual. Why not go through YT classifieds, photo adds or look at ebay. There are manuals galore on ebay, you just might find one. Then you can sell your current manual same way, for now it's better than nothing. I find my best source for manuals are flee markets at antique tractor shows in the summer. You see what your getting.

Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
