Randy: There is no need to cut or bend the shroud, it can be done without. The secret is a deep pulley, even two belt pullies from 1980s V8 GM engine will give enough clearence, using the outer pulley to drive the alternator. I have 3 of these alternators on Super A, 130 and 140. I will admit the 140 was the hardest to overcome, but it is do-able without cutting or bending anything.
