Well, apparently my external filter only relocated the cause of the hydrauli pump whine. I bypasxsed the filter today and she is quiet as can be. A dramatic change. Now heres the thing. I cant run without a filter. The filter I put on it is 25microns, which is obviously too small. Good thing I didnt get the 10 micron. Now does anyone know what the original screen was? Does anyone know of any other place that sells the screens besides the dealer. I'm leaning towards just replacing the original in the resevoir. Being cheap has led me to waste 25$ on a filter assembly, and I cut the suction hardline, never to be original again. I am however ecstatic that the problem is figured out. It is SOOO quiet!! Still has load of power, and doesnt bog the engine nearly as much now. Now ideas where to get a new or good used filter? Give me some names of some tractor parts yard that are good to deal with. I'll do some calling tomorrow. I'll get to make a new gasket for the cover now!! That was fun the first time around =P
