The noise you hear is likely your pressure relief valve since you only hear it when lifting a heavy load and when your steering strokes our either way. In either of these conditions, the pressure spikes in the system since this is a fixed displacement open center system and the relief valve opens to dump the oil back to tank. If the relief valve weren't there the pressure would rise instantly and bust a line or pump case, etc. If you have power steering, you have block between the drivers seat and the hyd. pump that is about 4" square by 1" thick. The relief valve screws into this block and is very easily removed. Take it out with the tractor not running and clean it up and inspect it. Not a big job - let me know what you find.
