Yes, I took them out. BTW, I had to split the tractor to replace the ring gear. I removed the 3 nuts from the inside rim of the pressure plate and installed them with the other '3' on the outer edge of the pressure plate to hold it to the flywheel. There appears to be no way to adjust the fingers so that they open out towards the rear of the tractor. When I tighten the nut, the fingers depress, towards to engine. I should note that the old clutch was running fine, but since I had her split, I decided to replace it while I was in there. I just don't understand the difference in the angle of the fingers on the old and new pressure plates.
