Ever since I got my 300u, the temp gauge has never moved, its mostly for loader work. The oil pressure gauge was shot when I got it, it was leaking in the gauge, so I replace the gauge and the line. Today It was pretty dry, so I wanted to work up the ground for my R/C track with my new scraper. The scraper is aweome!! It's a JD cat II scraper, which I modified to fit my 300u. Works good, will be awesome when the ground is dryer. Now heres the thing, Since I was working it hard today, I finally got the temp gauage to move to appx 145 degrees. I had the throttle up quite a bit for scraping, when I idled it down to about 600rpm the oil pressure dropped to about 30psi. Now thats probably because the oil is warmer, if I rev her uop to anything over about 1100 she goes up to around 55psi to 60psi. Is this normal? I know for cars this is about normal 25-30psi for warm idling, and around 50-60 for revved up pressure, but not sure about tractors. Thanks for any insight, I'm loving this tractor!!
