I found an H. And it's pretty close, and the owner says it should be in running shape. My pickle is that it's a '51. I kind of had my heart set on a '42-'45... a war tractor, and dual fuel. This one is an X1. What makes it even more difficult is that the owner lost a son in Iraq, so he'd like to see it go to a military guy like me. First question he asked me is if I planned on restoring it. He wants it restored, and he would like to see pictures of the progress. Of course I can do both. For that he said he can give me a really good price. ($500-$600) It would need a dual narrow front end, and a belt pulley, and I'm not sure what else yet. But it sounds like a great deal... which puts me in a pickle, because it's not a war tractor.
So, maybe I should just get over that, accept that it's a '51, and jump on the opportunity? What do you all think?

hmmmmm

To RONEE, in case you read this, Rick, from CaliforniaTractors.com set me up with this guy and waived his fee for the deal because I'm active duty military. He remembers me from when I called him back in July. He used to live in Central CA, but then moved to OR. He's a nice guy who's gone out of his way to help me. I don't know what your dealing with him was to make you warn me away from him as a bad person, but he doesn't seem like a guy that needs to be avoided. Just thought you should know that.

Man, do I type alot?
