This isn"t strictly Farmall, but I thought some of you guys might be able to help with a problem with my Generac portable generator. Was in storage 2 years, started right up.....ten second later shut down automatically because of "low oil switch". Oil was good, but I changed it anyway. Still shuts down. I took out the plug and squirted oil on the cylinder - still shuts down after 10 seconds. Any ideas? Oil filter could be clogged, but since it was brand new two years ago and only run about 5 hours, I doubt it. Should I bypass the switch? Hate to ruin the generator, but I can"t see how it isn"t getting oil. Any thoughts?
