To me it looks like home made gear drive for fertilizer distributor. I have a John Blue fertilizer distributor that has gear larger than that. Runs off the rear tires on my AC D10. Took me forever to find a manual for it but it is unique and I have not seen another in my area (N. FL/S. GA).
