I am looking at rebuilding a 2444 dsl engine that is in a 3414 backhoe. It has a crack in one of the sleeves. The guy tore it down a number of years ago All of the parts seem to be there, maybe a little rusty. I know that I will have to buy a rebuild kit. The backhoe was working fine before he tore it down.I am not a diesel mechanic. Any advice? Is this possibly a money pit that when I finish, I still don't have a backhoe worth anything? Thanks
