Just picked up the first of the two M's I bought. It has some neat features that I assume are old and I'm curious as to when it was made. So far I can't find an actual serial number. The locations given in the serial number directory to the left of this page says to look on the bellhousing and transmission but I aint seeing anything looking like a serial number. This thing has the old style seat with the toolbox under it along with a cast iron shift knob. Does this make it a WWII production model???? Is it worth a premium and needs a full restoration or can I just do a mechanical restoration, leave the little dents in the sheetmetal, and put her back to work??? I will try to post pics soon. I also met another guy on the way home that has a bunch of old famalls (around 5 or 6) that he might just let me have to get them out of his way and seems to think that one of the H's he has has a cast iron knob and old style seat too. Mike in CA, aren't you looking for parts from one of these?
