Patrick: Drag disks it didn't hurt a thing, in fact it was almost necessary unless you felt inclined get off tractor and pick them up by hand.

Mounted disks are impossible for any more than gradual curves or steering corrections, and they will break.

Trailing wheel controlled disks, always best to lift or at least lighten the cut. I don't know as it hurts the disk all that much, but they sure pile soil on short turns.
