to change or not to change

Hello!
I am going on the HTA tractor ride with my Super A again this year and they have 2 speed groups. Well I have run with the fast tractors for the past 4yrs but this year I have a few guys that are telling me I can"t keep up with their H"s and M"s and a few of the other brands of tractors. Well my SA will run 18 and its turning about 1800rpms. What I am thinking about doing is changing the Gov spring to a tighter one and turning 2000 or so and giving them a good run for their money!
