The L in this case just stands for Louisville, the part was cast at Louisville. M was Milwaukee, TW or CTW intertwined was Chicago Tractor Works, F for Farmall Works, etc, totally different format than the date codes. No relationship with the white demonstrator program.

The serial number ranges out there are rough guestimates, there's no known documentation with a serial number or date of first white demonstrator produced.
