C 123 Water pump

The pulley and impeller look to be a pressed fit on my SC's water pump. The impeller looks like it would be a real bear to get off. Can I remove the pulley & slide everything out the other side (impeller attached)? I just want to clean things up a little. Also, I don't have a press. What is the proper way to re-install the pulley? Thanks
