charging system

i have a 300 utility with a charging problem it
seams that every time i use the tractor the batt
does not stay charged after the first use what
could be the trouble.It has been converted over
to 12v so it has a GM alt starter rebuilt and a
12v starter seloined and the cables are hooked
up correct (neg)as ground pos as live i had the
alt tested and it,s ok.the alt belt also has the
correct amount of tension so i know that the belt
is not slipping on the pulley.please help thanks.
P.S also batt is new
