400, 450, 560 Diesels Any knowledge??

Im looking to buy a diesel farmall, I found a 400 diesel with a wide front end and power steering that runs good. It has 16 inch rear rims with worn 18.4x38 cane and rice tires and the front has 15x8 rims and poor tires. The hood is real straight but the grille is poor and the paint is old and poor, the correct seat is missing. It has the hitch on the rear and the man wants $1500 for the tractor. It also has three or four wheel weights on each rear wheel. Should I definetely buy the tractor? If worse came to worse could I part it out and get my money back?? Ive collected Deeres for a long time and fooled with Farmalls but I havent ever collected or kept up with Farmall prices, are there any drawbacks to this model? could I easily convert it to a 450? or should I look for a 560? Any help would be sincerely appreciated, Thanks for your time?
