farmal 300 clutch prob.

I was hauling round bales and doing well and rather suddenley the tractor started to act like the clutch was slipping however the freeplay was at the recemended ammount in the clutch pedal.When the bale was removed the tractor pulled better but not right.Iguess it means a clutch replacement I hope not but will do so if no other opt.Could you tell how big of a job this is and any tips to help. this is my only tractor and need it up and going soooon\!
