Bronco, I think it is. You'll need to figure out if the conversion was done using a resistor between the battery voltage and the coil. If there is a resistor, you've still got a 6V coil, no resistor you'll have to change back to a 6V coil. The battery cables need to be at least 2AWG wire. Smaller 4 or 6 gague cables can't handle the higher current of the 6V system (twice the current of a 12V system). Clean all the connections, including the ground to the tractor frame and the mounting surfaces of the starter and engine surface where it mounts. If your 12V system is negative ground, you will need to reverse the ammeter leads for it to work properly (or just understand that it'll work backwards). Finally, if the system is using an alternator, you'll need to either change back to a generator or try to find a 6V alternator (they are out there, just hafta look hard). If still using the generator, you'll probably have to readjust or maybe replace the regulator so it puts out about 6.8V at max charge. Then there's the light bulbs to change. Of course, the battery. That should do it. Phil
