I'll cover this in depth in my forthcoming book on IH tractors. It covers IH tractors from the late 50's thru 1985. IH did have several problems with the 460-560 final drive(its basically an M rear end). The bearing change was not the only component of the repair. A gear tooth design change also too place for the 460-560-660 and 450-400-MTA-M tractors too.
