560 trans fragility ???

I just read a disturbing comment on 560 trans duribility in a book written by Lee Klancher called Farmall Tractors. Unfortionitly he spent more time saying how little history he had with tractors than on how and why these brakedowns happened..Can anyone bring some expertize to this...Please forgive bad spelling and thanks in addvance
