Mark, don't overlook the possibility that your tractor came equipped with a highway mower and accordingly, the touch control unit may have been equipped with different actuator valves. These actuators, 353741R1 were shorter than the "regular ones" 353953R1. The purpose of the shorter actuator was to slow the downward motion of the arms so that one didn't "drop" the mower shoe or the knife to the ground but rather to gently set them down.
