What year 10-20 do you have. there were two different clutches. 23-28 had a multiple plate clutch pack like they use in pro stock drag cars. and a single plate disc type clutch (similar to the borg and beck style)was used from 29 up. The multi plate clutch is a cantakerous thing from what I hear! A delay in releasing seems to be common on those and may be caused by a vacuum buildup in between the plates and discs. The single plate clutch will do that also if the groves in the clutch face are filled with dust. Let me know which clutch you have and I can give you some things to look at for that type.
