I-544 vs F-544 why were both made?

I have been trying to compare my I-544 (international) to a F-544(farmall). From what I have sean the F-544 looks like a better tractor then the I-544. The F-544 has and adjustable seat with better support, the three point hit has rigid lower arm supports (the international has chains).

Why did International make the two versions and they made a international row-crop with was exactly like the F-544.
