Boog, If I follow your installation, I think you need to move the tee for the Lift-all to the excess flow port. All hydraulic oil from the pump should go through the priority valve. Without checking my manuals, I am wondering if you need a tee at all. However, this change should get the power steering working. If your Lift-all doesn't work, we will address that in time. Do you have a hydraulic cylinder connected to the power ports in the Lift-all. If not, you are forcing oil over the relief valve in the Lift-all when you pull the rod back. This will cause the engine to lug and hoses to vibrate, but no harm should be done for short durations. Does your friend's SMTA have the flow control valve? Does he have the pressure line from the pump tee'd into the priority valve? If so, I can't see how he is generating pressure for the power steering. Advise if this works.
