Bob: Thanks very much. There was a system going around in my area where by they put in a devise to compensate for coil being still 6 volt. Back ten years ago I canned that idea and went with 12 volt coil. So you can see what I was thinking about. I had my tractor wired much like your two wire system, except I just hooked to ampmeter terminal and had a push button type switch to excite or activate alternator. Everything worked fine until that truck driver left switch on for two days with new 520 cranking amp. battery. Old harness was otiginal, you know the rest. I have been looking at your diagrams and was starting to see reasoning. With no resistance tractor will not stop. Ah Bob, sometimes these old heads get a little wooden. Hugh
