I'm not sure why I called it that. It's the head that's about 3/4" thick and actually faces the back of the tractor. It would be up against the battery case. You must have it off if you were able to push the pistons out. I think there may have been a couple different style TCs. My TC has a top plate, a bottom plate, and the thick head. My allen screws were tight but came out ok. I did make sure I had a tight fitting allen wrench and used vice-grip pliers on it. Make sure there isn't any dirt keeping the allen wrench from going all the way down into the screw head. The last thing you want is to strip the screw head. It might help to cut off an allen wrench so it is just a straight shaft. Then gently tap it with a hammer against the screw head. That might break the screws loose.
