H leak

After I ran the pto a grey heavy oil type liquid started coming out of the small inspection plate at the bottom of the clutch housing. It leaked about a gallon or so and it appears to be about a 80 to 90 weight oil/fluid. I assume a seal gave out on it(imagine that after 50 0r 60 years)Anyone have any ideas as to what it is and how tough it is to fix??? Thanks for any help
