Ed,this winter past I cut and reshaped a oil pan that my son needed to fit a 350 engine in his blazer,there was no leaks.When I said the weld cracked I ment the weld[bronze] would break free of the metal.I was thinking that the metal over the yrs [70] had obsorbed the oil and grease and that might be causing the problem,wonder if I put it in an old oven that we have for 8 or so hrs to draw out the oil and grease.
