Bolts or fasteners as they are sometimes called are not a simple subject, with USA manufacture they had standards and rules, with imports now flooding the market its a crap shoot if you are getting a quality bolt or nut, generally nuts were Grade 2 so it would fail and not damage a expensive fastener. Below a reply mentions lock washers, now there is a obsolete item if there ever was one.
