Retrofitting a Water Pump on an early A/B

I was wondering if it's possible or practical to put a later style Super A/140 type cylinder head and water pump on an earlier tractor with the thermosiphon cooling. My head on my 41 BN is cracked, so I was wondering if I should look aroud for a water pump setup if I can find one. I believe that the heads on a water pump engine are different...
