After seeing the crud that came out of mine I would recommend pulling the radiator and removing lower hose fittings from the engine. That will help you get a straighter shot so you can get a power washer in and get the crud out. The back two cylinders seem to collect large amounts of sludge in the coolant passages, probably because it is a thermosiphon system. I took out a small coffee can full of crud out of mine just using a screwdriver when I tore it down last year, then powerwashed out the rest with the block torn down.
