engine dies on cub

engine dies on my cub if you run it about 3/4 throttle. checked the fuel level and float . Ignition is good. runs fine up to and including 1/2 throttle. engine has been restored with new bore and pistons Compression is good. Acts like at higher rpm engine siezes. when it cuts off if you hit the starter right away it will not turn over motor. let it sit 30 seconds and it will start right up.this happens on a run of about 1/2 mile or better. Any Ideas? Thanks, S......
