I agree with RPM, the problem is most likely in the cylinder. You may be able to check that by disconnecting the hydralics with the bucket tilted up and if it still settles your problem is in the cylinder. If not you will need to put a block under the bucket so you don't loose a bunch of oil reconnecting the hoses. They will be under pressure, be careful. You should not be able to kick the knobs out of place. There should have been a rollpin in them to hold them in place at either double or single. Take the cover off, and if you remove the two (I think) bolts that hold the plate that the knob comes out of, you can take it off and it should come apart. The rollpin goes in the shaft just outside of the plate and in a little tin piece that limits how far you can turn. Putting the assembly back together on the tractor can be fun. You can determine which one is for which control by wiggling the lever and following the linkages. Good luck Wheels
